　　我个人认为前卫金属也又没必要在加以分类了，下面列举代表乐队：意大利的Rhapsody、Lucaturilli（Rhapsody吉他手）；芬兰的Stratovarius；德国的Freedom Call、Blind Guardian。

　　※歌特金属※（Gothic Metal）
　　
　　我觉得歌特金属如果要分得话，也只能够再分成传统歌特金属和交响歌特金属了，但是我认为没有这个必要，所以歌特金属我不再做分类，只列举代表乐队：瑞士的Lacrimosa；瑞典的Therion、Katatonia、Lake Of Tears；芬兰的Nightwish、Yearning、Eternal Tears of Sorrow；挪威的Tristania、The Sins Of Thy Beloved、Theatre Of Tragedy；德国的Lacrimas Profundere、Evereve、Darkseed；荷兰的The Gathering、Within Temptation；意大利的Lacuna Coil、Macbeth；奥地利的In Grey；葡萄牙的Moonspell。

　　※毁灭金属※（Doom Metal）
　　
　　1、传统毁灭：代表乐队是英国的Cathedral、瑞典的Candlemass、Skepticism。
　　
　　2、歌特毁灭：代表乐队是英国的My Dying Bride、Paradise Lost、Anathema；瑞典的Forest of Shadows、Cemetary、Tiamat；克罗地亚的Ashes You Leave，俄罗斯的Butterfly Temple。
　　
　　3、死亡毁灭：代表乐队是瑞典的Godgory；丹麦的Saturnus。

　　※黑死金属※（Black Death Metal）
　　
　　这种音乐风格融合了黑金属与死亡金属，代表乐队是瑞典的Dissection；芬兰的Children Of Bodom。

　　※死亡金属※（Death Metal）
　　
　　1、残暴死亡金属：欧洲的死亡金属中心无疑是瑞典的Stockholm，所以无论是残暴死亡金属还是旋律死亡金属，瑞典乐队都是非常优秀的。欧洲的残暴死亡金属代表乐队有：瑞典的Dismember、Defleshed、Hypocrisy、Gardenian；德国的Krabathor；英国的Carcass。
　　
　　2、旋律死亡金属：代表乐队有瑞典的In Flames、Dark Tranquillity、At The Gates、Edge of Sanity、Sacrilege以及芬兰的Amorphis。
　　
　　3、前卫死亡金属：代表乐队是芬兰的Sentenced。
　　
　　4、歌特死亡金属：代表乐队是瑞典的Opeth。
