Volume levels


You can adjust the main volume of ChordPulse (MIDI output) using the "Master" slider. The volume levels of the drums, bass and chords sections of the accompaniment can be controlled independently:



Use these volume controls to adjust the sound mix to your tastes, or to turn down tracks completely, thereby creating space for your musical instrument. For example, turn down "Chords" and you have a drum machine with bass. Turn down "Drums" and you have a bass and chords only accompaniment, so you can practice as a drummer. Or simply use the default volume levels and sing or play along with the full accompaniment.

Please note that the bass and chords sections are defined based on musical instruments and not individual musical notes. Depending on the actual accompaniment, some instruments in the chords section may play bass notes (e.g. the "left hand" of a piano instrument), and these will be controlled by the "Chords" slider. The "Bass" slider controls the volume of the primary bass instrument(s) of the actual accompaniment (e.g. electric bass guitar).


Mute

To mute the sound (MIDI output of ChordPulse), click on the



button to the left of the "Master" slider or press U on your keyboard.


Reset volume levels

You can reset the volume levels of the drums, bass, and chords sections by clicking on the



button next to the "Chords" slider. The yellow light on the button indicates that the volume levels are set to their default values.
